Trung class: GE253, wk#8

Trung class: GE253, wk#8: temperature and Kinetics (gas and perfect gas)
Please read chapter 8 and do two problems
Please make sure you understand the US and SI unit systems
Make sure you understand the calculation of temperature conversions (F to C to K)
And pV=nRt as well as the K(b) constant.

Please visit: http://wps.pearsoncustom.com/pcp_wilson_ittphysics_5/32/8224/2105451.cw/-/t/index.html (or just simply click on this link) to explore each online chapter. Then do one practice test (chapter 8).
Please use this online website automatic sender option to send the automatic computer graded result to the course instructor: trungtchiong@yahoo.com or ttchiong@itt-tech.edu.

We will be using this online physics website for our chapter 9,10 homeworks as well.
You will be sending the computer graded homework to the same above email address(es). And you are allowed to have infinite time and trials in this website.

Trung class: CD-240. Week #8 (2/6/09)

Trung class: CD-240. Week #8 (2/6/09)
Please read chapter 8 (p420-440) that covers the following:
1: Scalar and vector (make sure you understand the differences between them)
2: Three Newton's Laws and their applications
3: Right triangle calculation with a^2 + b^2 = c^2
4: Non-right triangle (no angle is 90 degrees): use law of sines and cosines
5: Unit conversions
6: Gravity, acceleration and forces
Please be aware that these materials will be used in your future Physics course.
Next week I will review a portion of the final exam with all students.
